Project Details
Young girls in rural areas are often burdened with the need to support their family especially the mother in running the households once they are back from school.
With a large part of the girl’s time being spent travelling to school and back, along with the inherent ask to support their homes, the motivation to study often dimmers down. Lack of support from the family, often accompanied by shortage of time, eventually gives way to the girls dropping out of school early, despite the will to study.
The bank provide the girls with a cycle and education kits to overcome this barrier and save time for themselves to pursue their education. Knowing that someone believes in their potential gives students the confidence to dream bigger. This psychological boost often leads to higher academic performance and a stronger drive to succeed. This small initiative gives the young girls impetuous to believe in themselves and work towards achieving their dreams, aspiring young minds.
