PM Vishwakarma Scheme

PM Vishwakarma is a Govt. of India scheme designed to support traditional artisans and craftspeople (Vishwakarmas) by strengthening their skills, improving product quality, and enhancing market access. The scheme provides holistic support, including training, credit assistance, and integration with domestic and global value chains to improve their livelihoods.

Key Features

Recognition: PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card for eligible artisans and craftspeople.
Skill Development: Basic and advanced training programs with a stipend during training.
Toolkit Incentive: Financial assistance for purchasing modern tools and equipment.
Collateral-Free Credit Support: Loans up to INR 3 lakh in two installments (INR 1 lakh and INR 2 lakh) at a concessional interest rate of 5%. (Interest subsidy for timely/ early repayment@8%.
Digital Transaction Incentives: Incentives for adopting digital payments in business transactions.
Marketing Support: Assistance for branding, quality certification, e-commerce onboarding, advertising, and market linkages.
Formalization of Business: Beneficiaries are onboarded to the Udyam Assist Platform and integrated into the formal MSME ecosystem.

Traditional artisan or craftsperson working with their hands and tools and engaged in one of the traditional trades as specified in Annexure 1 in the unorganized sector on a self-employment basis, with valid PM Vishwakarma Certificate & PM Vishwakarma ID card shall be eligible under this scheme.
