Ashwini Kumar Choudhary is the Chief Risk Officer - Designate at RBL Bank. He brings with him over 27 years of rich experience across banking and financial services, specialising in enterprise risk management, credit, and governance.
He has held several senior leadership roles, including Group Chief Risk Officer at Union Bank of India and Chief Risk Officer at Tata Cleantech Capital. His career also spans key positions at HSBC, HDFC Bank, Srei Infrastructure Finance, and Bank of Baroda, where he has consistently driven risk excellence and operational discipline.
In his current role, Ashwini provides strategic oversight to strengthen enterprise-wide risk management, enhance governance, and reinforce the Bank’s risk and control environment, while closely partnering with Boards, regulators, and senior leadership.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from the National Institute of Bank Management and has completed the FRM, CFA, and CAIIB certifications. He also holds a B.A. (Hons) in Sociology from Magadh University.
