HerStory
Turning History into HerStory, because every milestone matters. We feature and celebrate our woman brigade who have been an integral part of the RBL Bank story.
Ruchi Arora has been with RBL Bank for over 9 years. Let’s know more about her journey.
Q: Which aspects of the Bank’s culture have been most empowering in your professional journey?
A: The trust placed in me by the leadership, combined with a collaborative culture, gave me the autonomy to lead with purpose. I am empowered to experiment, innovate, and drive strategic initiatives across Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, and broader Organizational Development area — thanks to a culture that champions people-centric growth and purpose-driven impact.

Q: From your first day to today - what's the one value at RBL Bank that has remained constant and continues to inspire you?
A: It would be two, not just one. The values that have remained my guiding light are Excellence and Entrepreneurial that deeply resonate with my own inherited values. It has shaped my mindset, my work ethic, and my approach to challenges, encouraging me to consistently strive for high standards while embracing innovation and ownership. It has instilled in me the belief that excellence is a continuous journey, and entrepreneurship is about creating impact through courage, creativity, and resilience.
Q: What's your proudest achievement at the Bank, and how did the organization enable it?
A: While there are many achievements, I feel proud of and contributed through my role and ability, but if I must highlight something for this feature it would be leading the conceptualization and deployment of two strategic initiatives: the Rewards & Recognition (R&R) framework and the Women’s Leadership Development Program (WLDP).
The R&R framework was designed to embed a culture of appreciation that celebrates excellence, camaraderie teamwork and reinforces our core values ‘PREET’ across every level of the organization.
The WLDP, on the other hand, was a deeply purposeful journey that focused on identifying and nurturing high-potential women employees. Through structured masterclasses, mentorship, capability-building, and visibility platforms, the program empowered women professionals to step into their current and future roles with confidence, clarity, and impact.
Q: How has the Bank supported your growth both as a professional and as an individual?
A: RBL Bank has given me the space to lead, learn, and evolve. I’ve had the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives and contribute to the organization.
So, whether through opportunities to drive strategic initiatives, leaders whose conversations feel like mentoring moments, or being part of a culture that encourages innovation and exploration is a culture that values continuous learning and growth. RBL Bank doesn’t just invest in roles, it invests in people.
Q: Looking back at your journey, what would you tell other women about building a career at RBL Bank?
A: I would tell other women that building a career is both a journey of growth and a space for impact. It’s not always easy like any meaningful path, it comes with its share of challenges, but what makes the difference - believe in your potential. Don’t wait to be invited, step forward, speak up, and champion your own journey while lifting other women along the way. One of the most empowering steps you can take is to find a mentor. Invest time and energy in seeking mentorship—ask questions, stay curious, and be open to guidance. The right mentor can unlock your potential, offer new perspectives on challenges, and help you discover paths you may not have seen on your own.
