HerStory
Turning History into HerStory, because every milestone matters. We feature and celebrate our woman brigade who have been an integral part of the RBL Bank story.
Swati Shirke has been with RBL Bank for over 5 years. Let’s know more about her journey.
Q: Which aspects of the Bank’s culture have been most empowering in your professional journey?
A: The culture of ownership has been truly empowering. We are trusted to lead, question, and improve. This trust motivates us to take accountability and deliver outcomes that matter for the Bank and for our customers.

Q: From your first day to today - what's the one value at RBL Bank that has remained constant and continues to inspire you?
A: Ownership. It’s a value that defines how we work here. The freedom to take charge and the responsibility to deliver excellence have remained constant throughout my journey.
Q: What's your proudest achievement at the Bank, and how did the organization enable it?
A: One of my proudest achievements was reducing the turnaround time for emailing customer statements from T+2 to T+1 for the 12th cycle date. This was achieved through process re-engineering and operational optimisation, without additional cost or infrastructure. It reflects our commitment to enhancing customer experience. The Bank enabled this by fostering collaboration and trusting us to innovate.
My team has been my strongest asset and an integral part of this journey - fuelling outcomes with agility and a shared passion for doing things right the first time. Their dedication and collaborative mindset have helped us deliver on complex timelines and critical expectations.
Q: How has the Bank supported your growth both as a professional and as an individual?
A: I owe a great deal to my managers and leaders who trusted me with opportunities that pushed me beyond my comfort zone. With their support, I led many of my proudest projects—delivering time-sensitive regulatory transformation with zero deviations. These were not just professional milestone, but moments of collective pride for the team.
What helped me succeed at RBL Bank is a mix of clarity, consistency, and strong collaboration. I stay focused on outcomes and always look for ways to make processes sharper and more sustainable. This journey has shaped me not just as a professional, but as a person.
Personally, the flexibility and wellness initiatives have helped me maintain balance and thrive.
Q: Looking back at your journey, what would you tell other women about building a career at RBL Bank?
A: Raise your hand, speak your ideas, and stay consistent. At RBL Bank, merit is recognized and intent is rewarded. This is a place where women can lead with strength and authenticity — and build not just a career, but a meaningful legacy.
