Maharashtra Chief Minister Employment Generation Programme

Government of Maharashtra has approved the introduction of a new credit linked subsidy programme called Chief Minister Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP) for generation of employment opportunities through establishment of Micro & Small Enterprises (project cost limited to INR 50 lakh) in rural as well as urban areas in the state.

A dedicated portal viz. https://maha-cmegp.gov.in has been developed for speedy and transparent implementation of the Scheme.
Funding opportunities available only for new unit in rural as well as urban areas of the Maharashtra state.
Subsidy – 15% to 35 % on project cost as per Scheme guidelines.
The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible for subsidy under Business/Service sector is INR 20 lakh & INR 50 lakh for Manufacturing sector.
Prepayment facility available for customers.

Any individual 18 years and above.
Applicant(s) should be resident of Maharashtra. In case of birth outside Maharashtra, the applicant must possess domicile certificate.
No income ceiling to become eligible for availing financial assistance.
For projects/units with a cost above INR 10 lakh in the manufacturing sector or above INR 5 lakh in the service/agriculture sector, the required educational qualification for the applicant is minimum 8th standard pass.
Only one person from a family will be eligible under the scheme (Definition of family includes Self and spouse).
